  • The first of three ODIs between PNG and Thailand begins today in Port Moresby. The teams have never met in the 50 over format. This is a welcome series for two teams still in the early stages of their ODI careers and both have performed credibly up til now. Who will win? That is impossible to predict! The series will be streamed live on Cricket PNG YouTube channel.
  • The tussle for the most wickets in T20 Internationals continues to intrigue. Following the series against PNG, Thipatcha Putthawong has joined Deepti Sharma at the top of the table with 168 wickets. In third place is Rwanda’s Henriette Ishimwe with 164.
  • The Women’s Asia Cup is likely to be played in the UAE between August 28 and September 13. The competing teams will be: Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and UAE.
