  • Papua New Guinea have recorded their first ever victory over Thailand when they won the first the T20 Internationals between the two sides at Port Moresby.
  • Notable from that match, the return to international cricket for two of PNG’s stars, Tanya Ruma and Sibona Jimmy; but it was another veteran who saw PNG to victory. Needing 10 runs from the final over of the match it was the cool head of Pauke Siaka (25*) who saw the home team scrape home on the final ball of the match. The series continues this morning.
  • The Women’s Asia Cup is likely to be played in the UAE between August 28 and September 13. The competing teams will be: Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and UAE.
