- Lord’s Cricket Ground has all a splendour for the World Cup final and indeed the two group stage games held there. The history of this ground continues on Friday with the Test between England and India, the first women’s Test to be played at the ground. The first day is already sold out and the second not far behind. What a tremendous week for women’s cricket!
- Nandani Sharma and spinner Shree Charani have got call-ups for India, along with Renuka Singh and Yastika Bhatia.

Ireland will be keen to use their recent T20 success against West Indies in the World Cup to motivate them in this 50 over format. In 12 meetings they have only defeated West Indies once.
