Ayesha Naseem

Born on August 7th 2004 in Abbottabad, North-West Frontier Province, is current ODI and T20I player for Pakistan, Ayesha Naseem.

A right hand batter and medium-fast bowler, Ayesha made her international debut for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Australia in March 2020. Just 16 at the time she played in only one match, against Thailand, a washed out affair where Pakistan did not get to bat.

Her next match was a full year later, against South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban. This time she got to bat, against an attack consisting of Shabnim Ismail, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus. Ayesha top scored that day for Pakistan with 31 from 25 balls. In the following match she hit 33 from 24 deliveries.

In June/July of 2021, Pakistan toured West Indies. Chasing 136 scored by the home team, Pakistan were 57/6 when Ayesha and Fatima Sana came together. The pair nearly pulled off a miracle with Ayesha making a blistering 45 not out from 33 balls.

On that same West Indies tour she made her ODI debut. Ayesha Naseem is surely one to watch across both formats, part of a new breed of Pakistan cricketer.
