Born on 11th August 1992 in Lahore, Punjab is current ODI and T20 International player for Pakistan, Anam Amin.
A left-hand batter and left-arm slow bowler, Anam has played 99 international matches for Pakistan since her debut in 2013. Her key role is with the ball and that is easily seen when we look at the batting stats where she has scored 36 runs in total.
Far more impressive Anam’s work with the ball. When one thinks about Pakistan slow bowlers the names Sana Mir and Nida Dar come to mind. Anam Amin sits quite comfortably in that company and may surpass both.
In ODIs Anam has a best of 4-7 against Bangladesh at Karachi in 2015. Her bowling average is the best of all time for Pakistan.
In T20 Internationals her star shines brighter still where she usually opens the bowling in the Powerplay. Her best of 4-16 helped her team defeat West Indies in Chennai at the 2016 World Cup, earning her Player of the Match. She received the same honour when she took 3-0 from 3 overs against Bangladesh at Cox’s Bazar – that performance is third most miserly bowling in T20 Internationals!
