Tania Woodbury

Born on July 6th 1964 in Lower Hutt, Wellington, is former left-arm fast medium Test bowler for New Zealand, Tania Woodbury.

Tania made her debut for Auckland in the Hansells Cup in 1989/90. She would play for Auckland for three seasons before a switch to Canterbury in 1992/93.

In 1991/92 Tania was called upon to represent the White Ferns in two Test matches against the touring England team. In her debut at Cook’s Gardens, Wanganui she dismissed Sue Metcalfe and Karen Smithies in the first innings, the latter clean bowled first ball, and removed Carole Hodges in the second innings. In her second Test, the prize wicket of England’s batting machine, Jan Brittin.
