From Christchurch, Canterbury, Rebecca Steele is one of only a handful of New Zealand players to have played in all three formats of the game.
Not only did Rebecca play all forms of the game, she played in the very first T20 International, between England and New Zealand in 2004 when the White Ferns became the first international team to record a victory in the new format. For the record, Rebecca bowled 24 deliveries, 0-14, took two catches and did not bat.
In her brief Test career Rebecca Steele became only the thirteenth player to pick up a five wicket haul in her Test debut. Against India at Shri GM Bilakhia Stadium, Vapi, she took 5-79 from 42 overs. In total she played just two Tests, with 8 wickets at 17.62.
Her ODI Career was lengthier, with 32 matches and taking 34 wickets at 24.44 with a best of 3-10. Her career also included playing in the 2005 World Cup in South Africa.
