Mary-Pat Moore

Born on 24th April 1961 in Dublin, is former ODI player for Ireland, Mary-Pat Moore.

A right-hand batter and slow bowler, Mary-Pat was the first player to captain the Ireland women’s team in ODIs. The team’s debut was against Australia on 28th June 1987 in Belfast. Ireland were bowled out for 77 and Mary-Pat top scored with 21.

In 37 ODIs Mary-Pat scored 854 runs which even today is sixth highest all-time for Ireland. Her 114 not out against Denmark in Sandymount, Dublin in 1995 was the first century by an Irish woman in international cricket.
