Shikha Pandey

Born on 12th May 1989 in Karimnagar, Goa, current Test, ODI and T20 International player for India, Shikha Subas Pandey.

Shikha is a right-hand batter and right-arm medium pace bowler who first displayed her skills as an allrounder for Goa in 2007/08 in both First Class cricket and limited overs.

Her T20 debut for Goa was in 2009 and it was in this format that she was first selected to play for India when she was selected for the Women in Blue to play Bangladesh at Cox’s Bazar in 2013/14. Since then she has played a total of 62 T20 Internationals including three World Cups. Best figures of 3-14 were against Australia in the opening match of the T20 World Cup in 2020.

In 2014 Shikha made her debut in both Test and ODI cricket. In this era of Test cricket drought she has only played three Test matches for India, with a top score of 28 not out and best bowling of 2-33.

Of all the formats it would seem that Shikha’s best performances come in ODI cricket. She has played 55 of these, scoring 512 runs at 20.48 with a best of 59 – one of two half centuries. She has taken 75 wickets at 21.92 with a best of 4-18 against England at Mumbai in 2019.
