Born on 22nd January 1971 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, former Test and ODI player for India, Sangita Dabir.
An allrounder who batted in the lower middle order, the left-handed Sangita scored a half century in her debut Test, one of three she scored during her career and indeed ended with a batting average above 50.
A left-arm slow bowler, Sangita’s best performance of 4-36 was against England in the second Test of 1995/96 at Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur. This followed 3-8 in the first Test of the series at Calcutta.
Sangita played in two ODI World Cups, in England in 1993 and at home in India in 1997.
