World T20 2023 Preview: West Indies

Six years ago the West Indies won this tournament. In the last four years however the team has won only 9 games from 39 matches.

Most experts don’t have the West Indies making their way to the semi-finals. I disagree. The West Indies can take this.

Nine teams will compete for three vacant spots in the 2022 World Cup in March and a further two positions in the ICC World Championships.

It was a comprehensive 3-0 series victory for the West Indies and a perfect tune-up for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.

The series seems to be an epoch-making one as it is both teams’ final chance to rehearse before the World Cup Qualifiers.

On February 17th 2013, West Indies and Australia were the two teams to play in the World Cup final at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
