World T20 2023 Preview: Ireland

There is so much to like about the quality and variety of the Ireland bowling, but can the batters step and make this a truly great team?

The final two places on offer for the 2023 T20 World Cup in South Africa will be decided over the next week between eight competing teams.

Gaby Lewis will make her captaincy debut in the absence of Laura Delany when Ireland take on South Africa in Dublin.

With the dawn of 2022, it is obligatory to take a look back and pay tribute to the outstanding cricketers who appeased our eyes.

Nine teams will compete for three vacant spots in the 2022 World Cup in March and a further two positions in the ICC World Championships.
