Windies Complete 3-0 Sweep
West Indies continued their winning ways at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium to complete a 3-0 series victory over Pakistan in Antigua.
For the first time in the series, Pakistan captain Javeria Khan won the toss and elected to bat. As with the two previous games it was a procession of wickets. The top order once again collapsed leaving the work to be done by the lower order. In positive news there were no runouts after the debacle in game two, however the West Indies spin bowlers ran riot. First Anisa Mohammed (3-18) and a hat-trick by Stafanie Taylor (4-17) produced a score of 102.
The Pakistan total was never going to Test the West Indies and it was the captain Taylor (43*) who steered the team home together with a polished knock by wicket keeper Kycia Knight (24*) to see the home team comfortable winners by six wickets. Taylor’s performance with both bat and ball saw her win Player of the Match.
For her performances with the ball during the three matches, Shamilia Connell was name Player of the Series.
