A wonderful delivery by USA’s Snigdha Paul to dismiss Shamima Sultana was the only wicket taken by the team as the Bangladesh batters dined out on some pretty ordinary bowling. Pleasing to see the left-hander Murshida Khatun achieving her highest score while the skipper made her second half century for the tournament.
The USA skipper, well she’s a fighter and was 74* at the end, the highest score ever by a USA batter, but it wasn’t enough to guide them home, with Bangladesh finishing the group stage undefeated.
