Quad Series aligns with International Women’s Day
Uganda host Namibia, Hong Kong and Nepal in a quad series that kicks off on Saturday March 8th, International Women’s Day. This series is bound to be keenly fought as all four teams are well ranked and highly competitive.

This event highlights the continued growth of women’s cricket in Uganda and beyond, providing a platform for players to showcase their skills on an international stage. It also aligns with the global celebrations of International Women’s Day, emphasizing the empowerment of women in sports.
“We are excited to host this prestigious tournament and welcome our fellow cricketing nations to Uganda. The LYCA Women’s Day Series is not just about competition; it’s about celebrating the progress of women’s cricket and inspiring future generations,” said Lelia Namaganda Ondeko Women’s Representative on the Uganda Cricket Association.
Rankings
On the TAWC Rankings, Namibia sits in 12th spot, followed by Uganda in 17th. Hong Kong is 24th while Nepal is 27th. The latter have previously been in the Top Twenty, so don’t be fooled by the disparity in the rankings. This series promises to be highly competitive.
