Sneh Rana

Born on 18th February 1994 in Dehra Dun, Uttarakhand, current Test, ODI and T20 International player for India, Sneh Rana.

A right-hand batter and off-break bowler, Sneh has been in and out of the Indian national team through injury and some odd selection choices. She certainly is a fighter and she has good numbers across all formats.

Four Test matches for Sneh, but who will ever forget her 80 not out against England in 2021, saving India from certain defeat? It was a classic Test innings knock, played by a player making their debut. In the same match Sneh took 4-131.

Sneh made her international debut in 2013/14 and has only played in 44 ODI matches since then. Injury kept her out of the national team for a number of years but her comeback in 2020 has seen good performances. In ODIs she has 57 wickets with a best of 5-43. With the bat in a team that boasts a lot of runs at the top of the order, opportunities are few and far between but Sneh does have a top score of 53 not out in the 30 innings in which she’s batted.

In 29 T20 Internationals, Sneh has 24 wickets at 21.75. What isn’t seen in the score book is a player’s character and they don’t come tougher than Sneh. One of the grittiest players ever for the Women in Blue.
