A quiet day for international cricket, in fact August has been the quietest month of 2026. The month of May had over 50 international cricket matches, a record which was broken in June when there were over 100 matches. Never has there been such a flood of women’s international cricket. As we begin the transition from the northern to the southern summer, we’ll brace ourselves for the next deluge and enjoy a quiet cup of tea.
England skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt will miss the upcoming series against Ireland. Charlie Dean will stand in once again.
The Women’s Asia Cup is to be played in the UAE between August 28 and September 13. The competing teams will be: Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and UAE.
