Nicki Shaw

Born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire on December 30 1981, Nicki Shaw is former England Test, ODI and T20 player, primarily as a pace bowler.

Her next tour of duty was to New Zealand in 2000 where she was used more as a batter than bowler but in subsequent series she was given more opportunities with the ball. In 70 ODIs Nicki took 46 wickets with a best of 4-34.

In 2001 Nicki made her Test debut against Australia at Denis Compton Oval where she scored a first ball duck, but compensated for that by removing the dangerous Karen Rolton for a duck.

Nicki played five Tests in total, opening the bowling with the likes of Lucy Pearson, Isa Guha and Catherine Brunt. She took eleven wickets with a best of 3-67 against Australia at Worcester in 2009.

She also played in 22 T20 Internationals where she picked up nineteen wickets at 22.78 with a best of 3-17 against South Africa in the 2010 T20 World Cup. Nicki played in two T20 World Cups as well as two ODI World Cups. She also managed to spend some time in Western Australia representing Perth Scorchers in the WBBL.
