A heartbreaking result for Nepal who had bowled themselves into a winning position, courtesy of career best bowling performances from Asmina Karmacharya (5-10) and Indu Barma (3-16).
No-one will ever know what might have happened. Certainly the UAE would have defended their total with all their might so it wasn’t a foregone conclusion that Nepal would have won. Simply another case of a finals match lost to rain with no reserve day on offer.
