Talkin’ about women’s cricket
Young England was generation next for the full England team but actually played six matches in the 1973 ODI World Cup. They called upon due to absence of other teams. Most of the players in this team went on to play for England.
Once the 1973 World Cup was over, so too the ODI status of Young England. The captain, Susan Goatman, went on to captain England and took them to the World Cup in 1981/2 making her the only person to captain two different teams in a World Cup.
