Born on 28th November 1997 in Chandigarh, Punjab, Taniya Bhatia has been the Test, ODI and T20I wicket keeper for India’s “Women in Blue” team since 2017. She has already played in two World Cup tournaments.
Representing India since her debut in 2017/8, Taniya has already played 50 T20 Internationals. Often used as a makeshift opener she has scored 166 runs in that time with a best of 46. More importantly, with the gloves Taniya has taken 23 catches and 45 stumpings, India’s all time best in this format.
In 19 ODIs Taniya has scored 138 runs with a high of 68, with 18 catches and 9 stumpings and has played Tests against England and Australia.
