Delissa Kimmince

Born on 14th May 1989 in Warwick, Queensland, recently retired ODI and T20I player for Australia, Delissa Maree Kimmince.

The right-hand batter and right-arm fast-medium bowler made her debut for Queensland in 2006/07 in List A and it didn’t take long for the national selectors to take notice. Delissa was selected in the Australian squad to tour New Zealand in 2007/08 under Karen Rolton.

Delissa made her international debut in ODIs for Australia in the fourth match of the series and neither batted nor bowled. A batting line-up in the team of Blackwell A, Nitschke, Sthalekar, Rolton, Fields, Blackwell K, Perry… meant that Delissa would ultimately only ever bat in four of her sixteen matches. She made the most of it, not out three times, 79 runs with a high score of 42. Delissa finished with a batting average of 79.00! With the ball she took 14 wickets at 29.42 with a best of 5-26 against England at Leicester in 2017.

In T20 Internationals Delissa played 44 matches for Australia which included being a member of three World Cup winning squads of 2014, 2018 and 2020. She scored 162 runs with a high score of 43 and a strike rate of 96.42. With the ball, 45 wickets at 21.08 with a best of 3-20 against England at Mumbai in 2018.

In domestic T20 tournaments, Delissa has played for Queensland, Warwickshire and Yorkshire Diamonds. She also won back to back titles in the WBBL with Brisbane Heat.
